Version: IPCop 1.4.0a9 (downloaded from Sourceforge area as ISO) Machine : i586 GenuineIntel Memory : 32Mb Test Area : VPN (Roadwarrior) I notice that others are having a couple of issues with the VPN. I have tried a few configurations of the VPN area, including changes to= encryption types etc. The following log shows a PLUTO error occuring each= time I try to negotiate the VPN connection. Having had a brief look for the= error, the best I can come across is that it says that the error is a= result of the executable being compiled for a different processor. The only= way to get the VPN to at least accept negotiation, is to reboot IPCOP. 00:50:08 pluto[473] packet from 202.173.129.154:500: ignoring Vendor ID= payload [SSH Communications Security IPSEC Express version 4.1.0] 00:50:08 pluto[473] packet from 202.173.129.154:500: ignoring Vendor ID= payload [draft-stenberg-ipsec-nat-traversal-01] 00:50:08 pluto[473] packet from 202.173.129.154:500: ignoring Vendor ID= payload [draft-stenberg-ipsec-nat-traversal-02] 00:50:08 pluto[473] packet from 202.173.129.154:500: received Vendor ID= payload [draft-ietf-ipsec-nat-t-ike-00] 00:50:08 pluto[473] "NILAPTOP"[1] 202.173.129.154 #1: responding to Main= Mode from unknown peer 202.173.129.154 00:50:08 pluto[473] "NILAPTOP"[1] 202.173.129.154 #1: transition from state= (null) to state STATE_MAIN_R1 00:50:11 pluto[473] "NILAPTOP"[1] 202.173.129.154 #1: NAT-Traversal: Result= using draft-ietf-ipsec-nat-t-ike-00/01: no NAT detected 00:50:12 ipsec__plutorun: !pluto failure! exited with error status 132= (signal 4) 00:50:12 ipsec__plutorun restarting IPsec after pause... Any ideas?? BTW, Due to another issue that needed to be resolved, I had to load the A9= into production (semi serious firewall). Really had time to use it, instead= of play with it on a test machine. Well done to the team, the 1.4 is= looking great and is a delight to work with (other than this issue). Regards Bob Fryer |
