Hello out there..... I have a question , what is the better/best way to set up the following using ipcop? Let me try to explain my situation i have 125 pcs and 20 servers on a T1 to the internet in my office. currently all pcs have public ips, of which i want all of these pcs to go to 192.168.1.0/24 addresess and sit behind the green NIC on IPcop. easy so far ..... now that c class of ips is also used for some servers(unix) that are used for different things... i presume all PDC and BDC microsoft stuff/servers can also be in the 192 range behind with the pcs(on teh green nic) as they have no need to be accessed via the outside world now i do have 5 web servers a mail server pop & smtp and some other servers, all running unix OS, these have to be able to be reached by the outside world and by the green NIC, so these servers would go on the orange nic??? on a 10.0.0.0./24 network?? If so how do they get reached from outside? Or do i split my c class into two or more subnets and assign one of those subnets to my orange nic and the other to my servers? Any help would be gratley appriciated! Thanks... Rob... |
