#558 Internet Traffic on Green Be Routed through IPSec
I am using IPCOP 2.1.9
I have established a IPSEC VPN with a remote firewall (Juniper). The Remote IP Configuration is :
[111.68.. ] and 10.0.0.0/255.0.0.0
IP Configuration Of Green Network is 172.28.0.0/255.255.0.0
I have used port forwarding and put a windows PPTP server for remote access, with IP Configuration 172.28.0.0/255.255.255.255
Requirement is all traffic on Green 172.28.0.0 should automatically be going through IPSEC VPN.
I tried use firewall rules in GUI for InternalTraffic and Outgoing Traffic. But in vain.
Can someone indicate the missing link.
Yes, the missing link is that IPCop has been defunct for over five years. When the last release was made it was down to one developer and all development and future releases ceased soon after. Personally I moved to OPNSense. Some have moved to PFSense as well as other Linux based firewall/routers. By now you should know that you are using something that is hopelessly outdated and no security updates have happened for years.
The mailing lists were kept open for a year after that for the sole purpose of guiding each other to other projects and the strengths and weaknesses of each so one could decide which one fits their needs the best. Some would have argued that IPCop having been built on Linux from scratch was the biggest weakness without an actual package management system.
Also note that IPCop's status at the top of the page shows it as being abandoned.
I recommend IPFire.
