I would like to have a Version that is at least
PowerPC-compatible.
I work for a small Marketing Agency that uses almost
exclusively Macs. (5 Macs, 2 x86-PCs (One
Linux-Fileserver, one Windows Development System))
We have several older Macs in stock, that are no longer
used, but no x86-PCs (x86-PCs tend to just brake down
before they are replaced for other reasons...)
So if it wouldn't be too much effort... (okay okay...
it will...)

It sounds like a waste of a perfectly good Mac.
There exists a patch to be able to build IPCop for powerpc.
The next major release will probably become available for PPC directly, but development is somewhat slow compared to x86.
You can help by testing if you still have the PPC boxes.
Actually we still have them. We switched to x86-Macs for our production, but Macs are still the only "old computers" that still work. All other x86-PCs have been replaced by virtual machines.
So it would really be a waste to not use them anymore ;)
I just can't find the patch. Where is it? And how do I make my very own PPC IPCop?
BTW: There is probably a better place to discuss this. What mailing list would you recommend?
Sry, missed your comment.
ipcop-devel mailing list is the place for such discussions.
