NotoSansfonts also need to be added to most of the languages There another query related to some telugu fonts. Govt of Andhrapradesh released a set of fonts before the state division under GPL (without font exception) . It is available at http://teluguvijayam.org/gumi.html . After state division it is abandon ware But now same fonts are published in Google webfonts early access under OFL . So which one we need to depend for packaging ? Which is the upstream and which is the license ? I havnt checked these fonts in detail and i hope same authors published it in Google webfonts The list of fonts are below http://www.google.com/fonts/earlyaccess Sree Krushnadevaraya (Telugu) Suranna (Telugu) Suravaram (Telugu) Tenali Ramakrishna (Telugu) Dhurjati (Telugu) Gidugu (Telugu) Gurajada (Telugu) Lakki Reddy (Telugu) Mallanna (Telugu) Mandali (Telugu) NATS (Telugu) NTR (Telugu) Peddana (Telugu) Ramabhadra (Telugu) Ravi Prakash (Telugu) |

I see only RaghuMalayalam font got used in packages. Older site link for it http://www.cdacmumbai.in/projects/indix/RaghuFonts/ - is not available. If someone has copy of whole set might be good to put it in svn/github. Would care for them since they still are 'foss' fonts. Even Jana series fonts seem unavailable or unable to get the links on ildc/tdil site ( there seem 3 sites!) Karunakar |

GNU Freefont is not respecting upstream modifications and fixes on Malayalam fonts. As a result FreeSans and FreeSerif are broken now for malayalam. Is there any other community facing similar issues ? Details of Freefont malayalam issues http://lists.smc.org.in/pipermail/discuss-smc.org.in/2014-March/055270.html |

Hi, Last year, on 1st November, we released updated Aksharyogini font. This was a revised and updated font from the earlier font family release of Aksharyogini. Moreover, it was released under Open Font License. Today, on the ninth death anniversary of Yogini Joglekar while remembering her, we wish to thank all the users for their love and support. The total download count from the official release website http://aksharyogini.sudhanwa.com has already crossed 16000 mark. Please let us know about any websites who are using/referring/cross-linking or just simply mentioning the fonts. (eg. http://evimarsh.vmou.ac.in/hi) We encourage you to freely use/share/distribute the same on your websites. Hi, FUEL GILT Conference 2014! Welcome to the 2nd FUEL GILT Conference - the largest event of FOSS language technology - its challenges, solutions, best practices and its conventions. FUEL GILT Conference is all about language technology world, all about GILT industry - G11N, I18N, L10N, and translation world. The event is showcase of the efforts of volunteer communities and different organizations in the field of language technology. This event also tells us the pain and conflicts of different cultures and languages. All things are revolved around the language - related to words! We are the worshiper of words! So, please mark your calendar - possibly 2nd/3rd week of November 2014. And the place is Pune, India - culturally one of the most vibrant city of India! We will announce the final date in about two weeks. Like last year, the organizers of FUEL GILT Conference are Red Hat and C-DAC GIST! Thanks a lot to both the organizations for continuous support and helping hand. FUEL is growing only because of the support of volunteer communities world-wide and several well known organizations! The power of the event is the power of collaboration, the power of sharing, the power of volunteerism! Currently, c.60 language communities are working with the FUEL Project. Since 2008, FUEL Project is consistently working with the different language communities to provide standard linguistic resources eg. terminologies, style guides, assessment methods etc to the world. Like last year, please collaborate and cooperate to make the event a huge success!
