Using privoxy on a Ubuntu Linux system to connect to the Tor anonymous network. accessing the website http://tomservo.cc/blogs/english/archive/2005/08/22/35.aspx through privoxy causes privoxy to consume 100% CPU capacity! To load the website does not work properly; Headline is there, some text but some parts and images are missing. Browsing other websites at the same time works like a charme.

I get a blank page but not 100% cpu load - no extra load at all. But a blank page is close enough to a problem that I could imagine it could cause 100% cpu with some other side influence.
When I turn off privoxy ( I don't have Tor at all) and go there with Safari and Firefox from a Mac I just get a blank page so I suspect it's doing some IE or Windows only thing.
When I go to http://config.privoxy.org/show-url-info and put in that url of yours it shows only default actions (no user actions) applying. You might want to see about adding that site to your list of don't filter some section/way.... If you trust it....

I think this is a manifestation of the "100% CPU" problem. What
happens is some site has massive amounts of whitespace in their
HTML that you don't ultimately see, but Privoxy spends a lot of
time trying to filter it all. The interim solution is to keep
Privoxy from filtering that particular site in the user.action
file. Of course, once Privoxy starts spinning, it'll need to be
killed and restarted.
The problem is in the js-annoyances and the unsolicited-popups
filters. If you turn those off in general (or for your problem
site(s) in particular) I think you'll have better luck. Can you
please give that a try?
