I'm using 3.0.0 on MacOS 10.2.
There are several easter eggs in privoxy which render it unsuitable
for use in a business or education environment. Among others,
privoxy substitutes the word Microsoft for MicroSuck on web
pages.
Guess what your CEO is going to say when that pops up on a web
page?
I'll bet a going away lunch that it won't be "give you a raise".
Personally, I think it's very funny, but stuff like this makes it
harder for me to get open source software accepted in my
workplace.

The {fun} filter is turned off by default. What changes
have you made so far to your configuration?

;-)
Hey, Privoxy ships with this off for some time. It was on
early in the beta cycle, but that was quite some time ago.
Are you using an older config?
Also, you know, while I can see your point, there is no one
involved with Privoxy has ever made a penny from it. They
are doing it because they want to, because they get some
personal satisfaction from it. And probably because they see
a need for such a thing, to fill a perceived vacuum. What
winds being in privoxy is a product of these motivations.
Not because what somebody's boss might think. And not
because of the profit motive, that might otherwise preclude
such "features". Not that anyone here is purposely trying to
annoy thier own user base. Far from it. And is why this
"feature" was disabled.
The primary objective of privoxy is to do what it does, as
well as possible.
And ultimately to let the user have control over what passes
through his sytem. With a diverse user base, this can mean
many different things to different people.

Scott - If you had set your default.action to use the
'Advanced' actions (i.e. you hit the 'set to advanced'
button in the default.action web config) that would be a way
a shipped configuration would enable the {fun} filter. Is
this what you did?
