I have been using Privoxy successfully on my Mac (10.9.1) for a while without any issues until I just recently installed Virtual Machine parallel software. Now privoxy is blocking all of my browsing on the mac on all browsers.

Please help, I am absolutely clueless what difference installing Virtual Machine had on my mac and why my privoxy settings are conflicting.

I have tried shutting down my Virtual Machine and restarting my computer, no luck. I need Virtual Machine to run windows applications for my business.

    Hi,

I suspect that Privoxy isn't the cause here, but rather the network configuration introduced by the VM software (which app are you using by the way?). You can test my suspicion by going into your Network system preference, go into Advanced, and unticking the entries on the Proxies tab.

If you still cannot browse from Safari then the changes to the network configuration introduced by the VM software will be the cause, and you'll need to go to that software's forums for assistance.

Also please copy the error text or take a screen shot and attach it here.

    Cheers,

    Ian
