Category: configuration Group: 3.0.17 Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: peter (petersonzzz) Assigned to: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Summary: privoxy and tor Initial Comment: Hello, I don´t know how to chain these together. Both are latest versions and working and I´ve read the instructions but have no idea how to follow them.I don´t seem to be able to get to an active configuration page and don´t understand what ùncomment a line`means I would appreciate some help in everyday language to get this sorted. I´ve looked in many places and posted on forums with no replies. Hoping for a reply here, Thanks, PT ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: peter (petersonzzz) Date: 2011-09-28 18:39 Message: Hello, I´ve tried again to get to a page to edit, The user manual has links but I can´tfind either what I want(7.5.2) or even an active page. On 7.4.5 click the link`web based actions file editor´takes me to another page with links; config, action , user etc but following the links doesn´t show what I want and doesn´t appear to be an active page either. This should be simple. Ha.Some specific instruction would be good. windows 7 with latest explorer browser( though I use comodo dragon mostly)Thanks, PT ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: peter (petersonzzz) Date: 2011-09-28 17:59 Message: Hello, Fabian thanks for the reply. Both tor and privoxy are runningthe only problem is getting them together. I haven´t been able to get to an active editing page in privoxybut i´ll follow your instrucions and see what happens. I guess I delete the first symbol and close the page. I´ll try it and report backThanks for your help, regards PT ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2011-09-28 16:22 Message: Please clarify what you actually did so far. To uncomment a line means to remove the leading comment marker, which in case of Privoxy is a # sign. So if http://www.privoxy.org/faq/misc.html#TOR suggests to uncomment the line: # forward-socks5 / 127.0.0.1:9050 . it means to change it into: forward-socks5 / 127.0.0.1:9050 . If by "I don´t seem to be able to get to an active configuration page" you mean you can't reach "http://p.p/", Privoxy may not be running, or your browser isn't configured to use it. What kind of error message do you get? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=3414750&group_id=11118 |
