Category: None Group: action file version 1.9 Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Summary: hide-referer does not work Initial Comment: I'm trying to forge the referer string with "http://host". The problem is "View the request headers" page display "Referer: http://config.privoxy.org/". So, privoxy forge nothing! Here is most important privoxy setings #actionsfile user.action default.action: +hide-referrer{http://host/} \ +hide-referer{http://host/} \ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-02-18 06:20 Message: Silence... I will too keep silence when you ask me to test alfa or provide more info. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-02-13 12:12 Message: Could you provide example? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2010-02-12 18:21 Message: You could use a client-header filter to change the Connection header (or any other header) into a referrer header that includes the hostname. You can disable the client-header filter for requests that already have an referrer using tags. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-02-11 18:48 Message: Do you have idea how to fix it? I would like have 'add-header: referer' there becase "Privoxy will only modify a referrer header if the browser sent one in the first place." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2010-02-11 12:19 Message: That's expected behavior, but currently doesn't seem to be sufficiently documented. The add-header action is executed after the other header modifying actions so the headers it adds aren't filtered. It's not clear to me why you are using the add-header action to add referrer headers anyway. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-02-11 10:58 Message: I have discover unexpected (or expected?) behaviour. Why proxychek report me that Referer is "Somehost", while there is another rule for proxychek.com - without "add-header{Referer:" and with "+hide-referrer{block}", "+hide-referer{block}" ? { \ +hide-referrer{block} \ +hide-referer{block} \ ...sniped... +add-header{Referer: http://Somehost/} \ ...sniped... } / { \ +hide-referrer{block} \ +hide-referer{block} \ ...sniped... } .proxychek.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2010-02-09 14:21 Message: You're welcome. Another option is that the OpenBSD package installs the documentation but doesn't modify the config file to let Privoxy serve it. You may want to talk to the maintainer about this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-02-06 12:42 Message: Thank you for advices "1" and "2". About "2" I may that OpenBSD port does not include privoxy manual. But it is not problem, as I can install it manualy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2010-02-05 22:13 Message: 1) This is the result of local user manual delivery being disabled. The confusing error message should be fixed, though. 2) Privoxy will only modify a referrer header if the browser sent one in the first place. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-02-05 16:34 Message: 1) http://config.privoxy.org/user-manual/actions-file.html#HIDE-REFERRER 500 Internal Privoxy Error Privoxy encountered an error while processing your request: Could not load template file http://www.privoxy.org/3.0.10/user-manual/actions-file.html or one of its included components. 2) http://config.privoxy.org/show-request will display forged referer. It is OK. But external proxy checker sometimes display HTTP_REFERER: (none) . Proxy checker domain are present in suitable rule block and "+hide-referrer{http://host/}; +hide-referer{http://host/}" options are present there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-02-05 15:04 Message: "/" - it is something new for me and clue to discover the problem. Yes, I miss the "/". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-02-05 14:01 Message: Did you forget to specify where to perform this action on? --- +hide-referrer{http://host/} \ / --- / tells Privoxy to run the action on every site. This would give out "http://host/" as your referrer on every page you visit. Maybe "conditional-block" would be more suited. Also take a look at the manual: http://config.privoxy.org/user-manual/actions-file.html#HIDE-REFERRER ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=460288&aid=2946522&group_id=11118 |
