Category: other Group: None Status: Pending Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Summary: 503 errors with unfriendly firewall Initial Comment: Version: 3.0.6 - obtained with Torbutton bundle OS: Mac OSX 10.6 Browser: Firefox 3.5.6 URL: all except localhost Firewall: none on my computer, one on network which I do not control. This is almost certainly the problem. Other proxy: TOR through Firefox Torbutton add-on. Tor and Privoxy are activated together. Configuration: unmodified since installation. As indicated above, I'm behind an unfriendly firewall which I do not control. A recent change to settings (I assume) is causing Privoxy to return 503 errors. Is there a workaround? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-12-30 00:22 Message: I have now attempted the configuration changes listed there, and I'm still getting the errors. I've also tested using Privoxy without Tor, and the errors persist. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2009-12-29 13:36 Message: Did you already follow the steps described in: http://www.privoxy.org/faq/misc.html#TOR to diagnose the problem? If the firewall isn't running on your local system, it should only affect Tor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=2922642&group_id=11118 |
