I have absolutely no idea where to start. I don't have time to search through the forums right now, but I will later in the week. I was hoping that someone could give me a quick start to setting it up for p2p use with bittorrent. I'm going to download utorrent here soon too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2009-10-24 09:40 Message: p2p users usually want to hide their real IP address and Privoxy doesn't do that. You can chain Privoxy with Tor to let Tor do the IP address hiding, but while you can then configure your BitTorrent client to use Privoxy as HTTP proxy, you'd still have to additionally configure it to useTor as socks proxy if you also want to cover the BitTorrent connections. Chaining Privoxy with Tor is described in the FAQ: http://www.privoxy.org/faq/misc.html#TOR Note that at least some Tor server operators consider tunneling BitTorrent traffic through their servers misuse. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=211118&aid=2884957&group_id=11118 |
