Category: filter: other problem Group: None Status: Pending Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Summary: password not accepted by site Initial Comment: Im under the impression that a site that uses apache will not accept my password entry with the latest apache upgrade. I am no longer able to access the site with my browser that is configured for privacy with the Tor, Vidalia, Privoxy package. I am using OS X, and Firefox. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-05-25 15:14 Message: Thanks Fabian, I have since put the Tor, Vidalia, Privoxy package onto the Opera browser and the site is now operating correctly. Would this bug be related to the previous Firefox issues mentioned by the other poster? I will setup Privoxy as you suggested to see what the log says and report back to you. Are you able to point me towards where I will find the log enabling command? So far the privoxy seems to be operating from within the Vidalia bundle. Thanks.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2009-05-24 20:10 Message: >From your description I can't tell whether or not Apache might be the cause of your problem, but I'm pretty sure that the problem mentioned in: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=460288&aid=2790091&group_id=11118 doesn't have anything to do with Apache. The first step to debug the problem would be to enable logging and check Privoxy's logfile. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-05-24 18:58 Message: I've since read a posting assigned to Fabian of 5/11 and believe these issues are related and could find a solution by looking into an upgrade implemented by Apache at the time that the Privoxy quit working with Firefox. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=460288&aid=2796149&group_id=11118 |
