Category: other Group: version 3.0 >Status: Pending >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Assigned to: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Summary: frequently: domain not found Initial Comment: v3.0.3 Almost half the time I surf to a website, I get a privoxy error that domain not found. This includes google, yahoo, sourceforge, and others. Often it takes 5 or 10 retries to open the page. Even with privoxy disabled I frequently get the error. HELP! My cable connection is rock-solid, with no such problems before privoxy. gwo...@ya... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Fabian Keil (fabiankeil) Date: 2006-08-29 14:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=875547 Looks like you have a very poor DNS connection. "Almost half the time" sounds like a serious problem. Are you by any chance running an older Tor version? Anyway, the next Privoxy release retries in case of DNS problems and fixes the caching issue as well. It should help, but unless you exaggerated a little bit, you will probably still have to look into the real cause of the problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Johannes Ebke (siriusgrey) Date: 2005-12-08 19:34 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=501572 Duplicate of bug 1164789 http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1164789&group_id=11118&atid=111118 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=111118&aid=1340092&group_id=11118 |
