Update: ifp-gnome 0.5 however works fine. I was using ifp-gnome or possibly ifp-line directly a while ago and broke m= y mp3 player, I think it may have been due to uploading files with characters like & _ ? in the filename, but can't be sure. The player would show the 'scanning music file' screen repeatedly and never start up, and I couldn't run any ifp-line commands on it. I just fixed it using the Windows interfac= e and then installed the latest firmware. Does that sound like one of the problems ('a whole slew of bugs related to filenames with special characters') you mention as being fixed by version 0.6? If so I'd rather be using 0.6.
