your iriver's firmware is probably preventing the download.  there were a 
couple releases of it 'manager' firmware that allowed downloading, but 
they disabled it a while back.

the solution is to either switch to ums firmware (and not use ifp-line) or 
track down a version of the firmware that allows downloading.
