As far as I know, GNOME has its own session manager which responds for starting applications. At least when I changed the WM "on the fly" by killing E and saying 'icewm&' it remembered this while shutting the session and next time I got IceWM at login. Maybe the latter versions of GNOME (mine was fairly ancient) allow to configure it manually... Max. |
