Here's how I start up IceWM apps using .Xclients-default: The contents of .Xclients-default: # Created by Red Hat Desktop Switcher exec gkrellm & exec firestarter & exec play /usr/share/sounds/KDE_Startup.wav & exec icewm My RedHat 7.1 with custom 2.4.5 kernel boots into GDM (run level 5). I chose Xsession and made it the default. As soon as I log in I see gKrellm, the password panel to start Firestarter and hear the start up sound (I happen to like the KDE wav file). If I had been in KDE and want to get back to IceWM, I use Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to sutdown and restart X. -Neal ===== Registered Linux user #159445 running RedHat 7.1, Athlon T-bird 800MHz & ABIT KT7 board. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
