Thanks for any help. Assuming that all other things are equal or better on the G4 Cube (memory, load from other processes), this is very strange. The first question to answer is whether this is an icewm issue or an XDarwin issue. Are any other X clients noticeably slower on the G4 Cube? It would probably be helpful if you could run x11perf on the two systems under similar loads to see how they compare. --Torrey |
