Hello, I have a similar setup. I don't use kde but only icewm.
I don't like xinerama because the workspaces are linked for the two 
screens.

I run two times icewm-session using the variable DISPLAY.
This is an example:

icewm-session &
export DISPLAY=0.1
icewm-session &


In my setup, like yours, I can't drag windows from one monitor to the 
other, but I see The Gimp! has an option "Move to screen" which I can 
move the Gimp toolbox from one screen to another.

It would be wonderful if this feature will be implemented directly into 
icewm.
