I also get the confirm dialog box, but then it does a shutdown or reboot 
if I click OK.  I may have misunderstood what you were trying to do.  If 
you don't want a confirmation dialog box, I believe that would require a 
coding change.

A good place to start would be the wmdialog.cc source file.
