  • This works and is very useful, but there are some quirks, When uploading text mode files to the HX, there need to be a pause every so often or the HX20 gets overrun. The hx20 tries to pause the "tape" via the "remote" jack, but obviously this is impossible in the case of a linux script since there is no connection to this jack which in the case of a tapemachine can start & stop the motor. I suggest finding out approximately how may bytes can be sent before this pause is needed and inserting a conservatively selected pause.
