Hi List, I am using HPLIP 2.7.10 and am running Arch Linux (fully updated). My printer is the Deskjet D4160. I have been attempting to adjust my printer margins so that they are "correct"; the printed margins in documents, text files, etc. do not agree with the margins I specify within applications (for example, in Page Setup, or something similar). Here are the steps I've taken so far: a) Step 6 on this page: http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/Database/CUPSDocumentation b) Manual configuration of the Foomatic PPD file for my printer, named HP-DeskJet_D4100-hpijs.ppd (editing *HWMargins, *ImageableArea, etc.) c) The file "align.ps" in the Ghostscript directory, /usr/share/ghostscript/8.60/lib/align.ps The printer prints okay, it's just that the margins are incorrect in the printed copy. The margin errors are consistent when I try printing with different applications. I am willing to take any steps necessary to arrive at a solution. I am not a programmer, but I can maneuver pretty well through files and the file system in general. Thanks for you help, -Patrick |
