I can confirm this behavior. The main window shows, but everything within the client area is transparent. Click in this area updates the status bar cursor positions. I have a screen shot if that will help (I don't see any place I can attach it here)

I've been using version 2.6 for ever, and I only noticed today (used Hexplorer no more than a week ago). I just reinstalled, and went into the options and change the font settings, and restarted the app - with no improvement.

I run Vista Business 32bit, 3GB RAM with desktop composition turned OFF. UAC is also turned OFF (go figure ;)

I usually run many resource hungry processes, like VM's and database services for development. Strangely enough Hexplorer is suddenly working again - I was about to reboot, and ran it after shutting down a virtual machine.

I tried to recreate this behavior, with no success. I will keep notes if I do manage to recreate this issue.
