I entered this install problem prior to joining Source Forge. What happened: I downloaded THE and unzipped it. No install procedure was found. I tried running THE on my Windows 7 64bit system. It has failures saying NOREXX was required in the default profile during startup. Also none of the REXX macros would run. I had OOREXX 4.0 64 bit installed. I then downgraded to OOREXX 4.0 32 bit. Now most things seem to be running. The DEMO macro still fails about 1/2 way through it.

THE is certainly 32 bit, so you did the right thing by installing 32 bit ooRexx. The demo has had some problems reported against it and I've had inexplicable THE crashes running with W7, which is what my laptop has.
If you've got the demo running at all, then you can just start using THE. Some tailoring to
fit your needs will make life easier, it all depends on your background. See this for my
