Usually playback from the viewer is fine but sometimes
the audio cuts out and it starts playing back at
something like 10x realtime.
This happens much more often in playback from the
timeline window. It seems to always happen when it
hits a section where there are clips on two or more
video tracks.
If I had to guess, my guess would be that the video
playback gets 'behind' in some way that confuses the
A/V sync code.
My sound is going out through the emu10k ALSA driver
(soundblaster live). My video is xfree86 4.3 on a
radeon 7500 using the dri-trunk drivers
(http://dri.sourceforge.net/). This also happens with
xfree86 4.2 and the stock ati driver.
Any suggestions for debugging this? Is there an easy
way to make some debug output happen?

Additional info: This bug doesn't seem to happen when OSS
is selected and apparently the ALSA code is from skolelinux
cvs rather than here.
