#539 Unable to access table - Row buffer width exceeded

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. 36 field table
2. 90% of table structure definition contains varchar(255)
3. MySQL 4

The table does not load when trying to view it using the  "Data" tab.
I have tried adjusting the column width in "Tools->Preferences" from
automatic (0) to something like 100, but still the problem occurs.

The initial problem was a Range Error, but that seems to be solved or
morphed into the existing problem mentioned above.
I am currently using, Rev 1426, the latest build.
