Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: Accepted Priority: 5 Submitted By: hibou (hiboo) Assigned to: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Summary: Resizing the skin Initial Comment: - I set the skin to the x2 view : working fine - I save the config and I shutdown the Tiemu - I restart it, and it tries to be in 2x view, but it's not, it is just under 2x. The option is effectively not check in the menu. Then I retry to put it to 2x, and it changes very fastly of size (probably setting it to 2x, I just see that it has done someting), then it retruns to the initial one : just under 2x and "2x" option not checked. To be effectively in 2x view, I have to pass to the 1x view, then to pass to the 2x view. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2006-02-24 05:34 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 Looks like it isn't that easy: fixing the loop avoids the "gradual resizing" mess (I committed this, it needs testing on Window$ though), however KWin still refuses to accept a window width wider than the screen. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2006-02-23 17:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 I tracked this down. It's a loop set_window->on_drawingarea1_configure_event->set_window. (This may also be the reason full-screen mode didn't work, I'll try reenabling it once this is fixed.) I'm working on a fix. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2006-02-22 10:01 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 I have fixed the V200 skin and noticed some wird stuffs with resizing. I will take a thourough look sooner... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2005-11-19 22:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 I can reproduce Test 1. (I get 1.44 here.) I can't reproduce Test 2 here (probably doing something wrong), and I can't reproduce the full screen issue because full screen mode has been disabled for performance reasons. My system: Fedora Core release 4 (Stentz) tiemu3-20050915-1 kdebase-3.4.2-0.fc4.1 qt-3.3.4-15.4 gtk2-2.6.10-2.fc4.4 WM: KWin (KDE) KDE/Qt skin: Bluecurve GNOME/GTK+ skin: Bluecurve ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-09-06 07:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 I use : - kde : 3.4.1 - gtk+ : 2.6.7 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2005-09-06 00:46 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 Wierd, I'm also running KDE when on Linux, and I've never noticed anything like that. I'll try harder to reproduce this. What version of KDE are you running? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-09-06 00:31 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 I use KDE. (so it's KWin). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2005-08-30 06:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 What window manager are you running? (If you're running KDE, it's KWin, if you're running GNOME, it's probably Metacity. Otherwise, you're already running the WM directly.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-08-02 19:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 Another strange behaviour : I set the tiemu on full screen mode : ok. Then I try to set the 1x or 2x view, the size of tiemu is the larger of my screen (custom=7.37). I have to set the view to 2x a second time to get effectively the 2x view. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2005-08-02 16:21 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 Reopening. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-08-01 20:51 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 My resizing pb are still here. I can give more details : Test 1 : I set tiemu to 2x view, I save the config. In the .ini there is : view_mode=large I close tiemu. I reopen it. The skin in not in the large view, I save the config. In the .ini there is : view_mode=custom (1,84) Test 2 : I set tiemu to normal view : the view is larger than the Normal view. I save the config : In the .ini there is : view_mode=custom (1,36) I set again tiemu to normal view : the view is effectively in normal view, but the window is larger than the skin (see attached screenshot). I save the config : view_mode=normal I close tiemu. When I reopen it, the view is larger than the normal one : I save the config : view_mode=custom (1,36) The tests were done on linux tiemu 2.00 RC6. On WindowsXP and tiemu RC5, no resizing problems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2005-07-03 12:01 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 << About the pixmap pb, I managed to start TiEmu in removing the config file. The attached file is the config file that makes the pixmap error. >> The .ini file contains a scale factor like 0,95. I'm using an English version of Windows which stores it as 0.95. It seems sscanf is locale dependant. Fixed to make it independant of locale. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2005-07-03 11:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 I think it can because I can reproduce your error ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-07-02 19:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 I forgot to check the box to upload the file... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-07-02 19:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 of course, 1 pixel is crasy. I was talking about the 1X view. About the pixmap pb, I managed to start TiEmu in removing the config file. The attached file is the config file that makes the pixmap error. I hope it can help you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2005-07-01 22:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 The minimum size is 100 pixels. Shrinking TiEMu to 1 pixel make no sense for me ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-07-01 22:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 I never have a pixmap error under linux. An remark on the resizing pb : under linux, when I try to resize manually (with the mouse, not by the menu), there is a minimum size, and this minimum size is upper than the 1x view, so I can't manually set the size to 1x. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2005-07-01 22:04 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 And the original issue under Linux? Can't you reproduce that either? This seems even worse to me than the erratic behavior under Windows (which is probably just stupid Windows running out of system resources). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2005-07-01 21:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 <<But after 3 or 4 shutdown/launch of Tiemu, to test the correct resizing, a window Error open with : unable to backing pixmap>> I didn't manage to repeat this bug ;-( ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-06-27 21:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 I have tested on Windows. It works correctly with the RC5. But after 3 or 4 shutdown/launch of Tiemu, to test the correct resizing, a window Error open with : unable to backing pixmap Then I close the window and I have: Msg:Transfert aborted Cause:the user ! Then nothing... Each time I try to open it, I have the same error. The most strange is that even if I uninstall and reinstall TiEmu, I have the error :( ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: hibou (hiboo) Date: 2005-06-27 13:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1280391 yes, on my gentoo. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2005-06-27 13:05 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 Are you running TiEmu under Linux ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2005-06-25 18:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 Romain, this one is for you as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=377680&aid=1227433&group_id=23169 |
