Hi everyone, I've been playing around a bit with iPod autodetection. The code is not finished but usuable I think. Start gtkpod and it will: - automatically load all connected iPods, creating new repository when necessary (existing ones with the right mountpoint will be used) - plug in an iPod later and it will be auto-loaded (a new repository will be created when necessary, an existing one with the right mountpoint will be re-used What has to be done: - write the repository preferences to the iPod, rather than to the general prefs file. Not important unless you are using the auto-sync feature (synchronize directories with the repository/iPod when loading). Requires gnome-vfs to work, additionally HAL to work even better (should be just fine without). Re-run ./autogen.sh Let me know how it works for you! Cheers, JCS. |
