You need the latest libgpod (0.4.2) first.  You can follow the links
from http://sf.net/projects/gtkpod or just go to
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=67873&package_id=156254&release_id=478662.
Once you've compiled that, you can link against it with the latest
gtkpod.
