I have nothing against command line stuff (have done my fair share of scripting and such), but at this point I'd prefer something gui based inasmuch as everything else I'm using is... In all honesty, I would be *perfectly* happy with some kind of addition to gtkpod (or Amarok, or whatever) that just gave me an empty text field for the USLT tag and let me edit it myself. No fetching, no fancy pants. Besides, lyrics sites seem to get shut down/modified, etc even aside from wild mistakes. Besides matters of principle, I have foreign language songs and I don't want extended latin charsets cluttering things up. With a modified id3 tag on the file, it should sum out differently? Cheers, --Cindy |
