Hi all! I've been following gtkpod development for a while now, since I'm the new maitainer for it in Debian (djpig orphaned the package in early April). I did my homework and now the stuff is almost done, but I'm facing a problem I tried to put to your attention in IRC channel but with no success. So I'm reporting it here, the right place I guess ;-) I build gtkpod on an up-to-date debian sid amd64. I had to fight with the rpath issue, reported in the lintian errors for the package. I found (with the help of my sponsor) that it's a arch-dependent issue (in fact, this problem disappears in a up-to-date sid i386). My sponsor told me to ask in upstream if it would be possible to fix the toolchain to get rid of this problem. Well, I must admit I'm not a developer so I don't know what it'd take but I think it should be done sooner or later... to prevent same problems in future releases. This issue prevents the package to be uploaded in official sid repository, since it won't pass the ftp-master tests, it seems. Thanks a lot for your work and hope to have some good news for you very soon. Take care. mfv -- Il messaggio e' stato analizzato alla ricerca di virus o contenuti pericolosi da MailScanner, ed e' risultato non infetto. |
