Hi Andrew, Quoting Andrew Benton <b3...@gm...> from ml.softs.gtk-gnutella.users: :I've just tried compiling gtk-gnutella with code from a git pull I did :yesterday. It runs fine, but when I come to quit, instead of counting :down for 30 seconds like it should it just quits. It seems to be :crashing: I'm really sorry for this 0.98 and 0.98.1 mess. Unfortunately, there has been several causes leading to unstability at the last minute: - Upgrading glib to 2.30.2 caused havoc because of gratuitous assumptions made by that library which were not present in earlier versions. They have received the appropriate amount of cursing. :-) - There was too little testing of the "devel" branch done on 64-bit machines, and some critical bugs have happened there. So I'm preparing a 0.98.2, to be released next week, as soon as I have nailed down the remaining bugs that are being reported now that the release was made. Meanwhile, could you please checkout the "devel" branch of git and recompile it to see whether you still have problems or whether it improves things? Thanks a lot, Raphael |
