To reproduce this (I have latest SVN):
1.) start gtk-gnutella
2.) wait until all bootstrapping has finished (just to have the same situation as mine, wait ~1/4h)
3.) click on the trayer icon, hit "Quit"
4.) click again on the trayer icon, hit "Preferences"
5.) the program crashes with SIGABRT
Na, 3.) is wrong, should be "quit program". :)
This should have been fixed with 0.97.1, or with 0.97.2u (current git "devel" branch). Can you please confirm?
Still crashing, but restarting now.

Should be fixed now:
- Added code protecting against any action on the tray icon once a shutdown has been requested.
- Hiding of the tray icon at shutdown time now programatically enforced.
Please verify and re-open the bug if the fix is still incomplete.
