I tried the patch and it works, the program compiles fine but it throws some warnings, I need to replace the deprecated functions or the debian build will fail.
Also there are widgets not working as expected, for example the rsync command line can't be selected for copy-paste.
I will work on it and when all is solved I will publish a new version, meanwhile I will put the work-in-progress code to svn.
