Crash when trying to forecast a VARX model, seems like maybe just gui related (GTK3). CLI worked.

    It would be helpful if you could send us some material for replicating the problem. Ideally, the dataset with an accompanying script.

    I can directly replicate the problem with a September snapshot on Windows. Slightly older than current 2026c, but I doubt that makes a difference. Steps:

    • use dataset AWM_update
    • estimate a VAR, e.g. using the first three variables, and adding two other arbitrary variables (XTD, MTD) as exogenous regressors
    • BTW, do not adjust the sample, so full available sample; but the same thing happens when some obs are excluded to do the forecasts later
    • in the output window, choose Forecasts, and then the first variable
      -> crash
      This doesn't look nice, of course. If it really is a GUI-only thing, then having unit tests doesn't help, however.

    Thanks for the report, Alexander, and for the replication, Sven. This is now fixed in git and I'll put up new snapshots later today or tomorrow.
