Hi, expert mode won't fix the problem, but I was hoping you might get more messaging around what went wrong. If you restart your greenstone server, does the collection appear? This might happen if the collection has built ok, but GLI had trouble activating it in the library. Check the file->preferences->connection settings - do they look valid. eg is the right port number set, the right site and servlet name. is the web folder specified the right one. If you used to build with an older version of greenstone, and now you have installed a new version, GLI might still be using some old settings. Close GLI, Look for a GLI folder eg Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Greenstone\GLI and delete config3.xml. then restart GLI. does this help your build to work? When you built in expert mode, at the end of the output were there any error messages? You can try setting verbosity to 5 in build options and rebuild. If you like, you could change GLI to english, set the verbosity to 5, rebuild and then send me the build log. you can find the build log in greenstone3/web/sites/<sitename eg localsite>/collect/eau01/log - choose the one with the latest timestamp. (you could delete all the logs, then rebuild. then you can be sure you have found the latest log file) Alternatively, you could build on the command line cd to your greenstone3 directory. gs3-setup full-rebuild.pl -site <sitename> eau01 > build.out 2>&1 then send me build.out Regards, Katherine ________________________________ From: Amadou K.
