I was also able to remotely change settings on both cameras, but could never get the optical zoom to work with the 880. Newer coolpix cameras are PTP. I don't know about the 775 - if it is PTP or sierra, or if gphoto2 capture works with it. AFAIR it has a USB mass storage interface, you would have to figure out how to change it to non-mass storage for capture to function. -- Patrick Mansfield |
