Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Mark Van den Borre (markvandenborre) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Canon EOS 500D: capture fail Initial Comment: Trying to get the Canon EOS 500D to capture fails. There seems to be a problem setting the capture target. See the attached debug log. The most relevant excerpt seems to be this: 0.574435 ptp2/usb_getresp(0): request code 0x9110 getting resp error 0x2019 0.574486 camera_canon_eos_update_capture_target(0): setdevicepropvalue of capturetarget to 0x4 failed! I've reproduced this on 2 different physical machines and 4 Linuxen, always using the latest packaged 2.4.10 gphoto related packages: * amd64 Ubuntu 10.10 + recompiled 11.4 gphoto2 related packages * amd64 Ubuntu 10.10+ 11.4 gphoto2 related packages * i386 Debian sid+ gphoto2 related packages from experimental * i386 Fedora 14 I can offer ssh root on a machine with this camera attached if that helps. Please tell me if there's anything else I can do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Mark Van den Borre (markvandenborre) Date: 2011-01-06 17:38 Message: This was triggered by a focus problem. After I pointed the camera at something it could actually focus on, the problem went away. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=108874&aid=3152465&group_id=8874 |
