hi everybody! i want to use my old nikon coolpix 4300 remotely (in sierra mode). this is also working on one of my computers (a desktop computer with debian distribution) now i installed the the same debian distribution and the same gphoto2 version on an other desktop pc and i get this error message gphoto2 version: *** Error *** This camera can not capture. ERROR: Could not capture. *** Error (-6: 'Unsupported operation') *** For debugging messages, please use the --debug option. Debugging messages may help finding a solution to your problem. If you intend to send any error or debug messages to the gphoto developer mailing list <gph...@li...>, please run gphoto2 as follows: env LANG=C gphoto2 --debug --capture-image Please make sure there is sufficient quoting around the arguments. gphoto2 2.2.0 gcc, popt, exif, cdk, no aa, jpeg, readline libgphoto2 2.2.1 gcc, EXIF, no /proc/meminfo libgphoto2_port 0.6.1 gcc, USB, serial without locking it seems very mysterious to me that on one pc the whole setup is working and on the other one not! i am greatful for every help chris |
