Category: gphoto2 Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: techmum (techmum) Assigned to: Marcus Meissner (marcusmeissner) Summary: gvfsd-gphoto2 segfault and mount problems Initial Comment: Having problems with a Samsung YP-K3 MP3 player in Fedora 9 (64-bit). If device is plugged in and cold boot, device mounts, although receive the following error in /var/log/messages > kernel: gvfsd-gphoto2[18352]: segfault at 10 ip 3f3c4088aa sp 7fff606061f0 error 4 in libpthread-2.8.so[3f3c400000+16000] If unmount the device, or warm boot, receive DBus timeout by message bus error, and virtually every time the device does not mount. Output of gphoto2 debug file after remount attempt is attached. Hence, the only reliable way to access the device is after a cold boot, although the same segfault always appears in the log files. Suggestions? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: techmum (techmum) Date: 2008-06-28 10:18 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2128019 Originator: YES I have taken the plunge and upgraded my Fedora 9 to include the rawhide pre-release files, that includes libgphoto2 2.4.1. However, yesterday my Samsung YP-K3 totally died, so I have to return and get a replacement next week. Then I will test with the newer version. Meanwhile, how do I do a backtrace. Sorry, not something I have ever done, so I will need some guidance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marcus Meissner (marcusmeissner) Date: 2008-06-26 14:47 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=48092 Originator: NO a backtrace would be nice. additionaly, try using libgphoto2 2.4.1 which received some bugfixes regarding MTP devices. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=108874&aid=2002471&group_id=8874 |
