Dear all, I got a problem while using the capture mode on a D70 (gphoto2 versions: gphoto2 2.3.1, libgphoto2 2.3.1, libgphoto2_port 0.7.1). I would like to download an image while exposing the next image to minimize the overhead. Here, I think exposure time would be about 6 second to balance the downloading time. What I am thinking about can be expressed as follows: start exposure of DSC_0001.NEF finish exposure of DSC_0001.NEF start exposure of DSC_0002.NEF start downloading DSC_0001.NEF finish exposure of DSC_0002.NEF finish downloading DSC_0001.NEF ... start exposure of DSC_${N}.NEF start downloading DSC_${N-1}.NEF finish exposure of DSC_${N}.NEF finish downloading DSC_${N-1}.NEF I want to take thousands of images in one night with this method. However, the capture function for Nikon D70 (camera_nikon_capture in libgphoto2-2.3.1/camlibs/pt2/library.c) is coded so that the program takes an image and downloads it immediately. So, I eddited the code to test the downloading an image during the exposure, but capturing second image before downloading first image was not possible (the D70 hung up). Is there any way to make it happen? Sincerely, Y.Asaoka |
