This just happened to me too! It only affected 20 or so contacts. I changed them all back to title case and it fixed the syncing issue. But it all came back a day later! I don't see much of a pattern to which contacts it affected either. Is gmail doing it?

this might be done by Gmail/Google. Can you install the latest version of GCSM and try again? and if still not working change back to lower case on Google side and sync again? If not working, can you provide the log files?

did you try to change the type of the affected address to lower case (home)?
