Problems under Windows XP
Provides native Win32 open source ports and utilities

Dear Developers team,
sorry for the inconvenience, but with the tar package
1.13 under WindowsXP (sorry, i hate this XP), the
following error message occur when i extract a *.tar
archive:
Could not change access and modification times:
Permission denied
I think this is a problem in the extract.c utime
funktion. Previously i used tar version 1.12 an it runs
fine. Maybe the WindowsXP c library is buggy? I think so!
I use your tar package for the backup of my personally
data,
because this must also readable under Linux for
compatibility.
Many thanks for your GnuWin32 utils, and have a nice
day (or night ;-))

There are several other problems with the present port of tar.
They will be fixed in a later port.
