Dear Ethan, This compiles properly on macOS. I placed a universal binary here (all libraries statically linked): https://csml.northwestern.edu/Download/Gnuplot/gnuplot-6.0.4-qt5-universal.pkg, so that others can test it as well. I did not compile without mouse support, so I cannot speak to the issue Achim identified.
