Assuming you have the QtCore file installed, do you also have the pkgconfig file called Qt6Core.pc? This, AFAIU, provides the include path to the compiler without which you will get an "I can't find QtCore" error. If it's missing for you then this is interesting because I encountered a similar problem on Mint (which uses the Ubuntu build of qt6core-dev, which, for some reason, is missing the .pc files). I thought the Debian version had the .pc files, but... P.
