I've just checked in the respective changes about GP_ISVAR and 
GP_FIT_ERRVARS.  And hit a nice round anniversary, too, look:

Checking in ChangeLog;
/cvsroot/gnuplot/gnuplot/ChangeLog,v  <--  ChangeLog
new revision: 1.1000; previous revision: 1.999
done

The 1000th changelog entry for the trunk!  If that's not something to 
be celebrated by a release, what could be?
