Thanks for the kind explanation. There really are blank lines in the
data file and it is somewhat logical that this messes up the line plot.
I'm sorry for bothering. Just never thought of this.
Is there a particular reason why gnuplot does not ignore blank lines?
(I assume there is but what is it.)
