Sounds like a sane policy to me. The project I'm most involved with has a more "aggressive" development policy. The upside is that genuine fixes get out to users more quickly. The downside is that "fixes" with nasty unintended side effects also get out, in some cases requiring "emergency" releases and engendering regrets. Given how widely gnuplot is used, I'm with Ethan on this. Allin Cottrell |
