Right now it's somewhere in a 1800 pages PDF report, I'll have to
isolate the offending plots and get at the gnuplot code for that.  For
now I only know that those plots I've looked at didn't show any
unexpected defects, so the warning seems to be spurious as far as the
result goes.

No, distribution plots, sometimes with reversed and/or logarithmic axes.

I'll have to trace the same steps as outlined above, then I can be back
with more questions (unless it's already obvious by then).
